ROCK CREEK'S SMALL GROUPS

You are called to belong... not just believe.  We are created for community, fashioned for fellowship, and formed for a family; and none of us can fulfill God's purposes by ourselves.  You belong in a Rock Creek Small Group. Our Small Groups Ministry exists to help people just like you.  We offer Bible Studies for couples, men, women and single adults.  You might also be interested in our Digital Photography Group, Softball Teams, Adult Literacy Class, and Scrapbooking.  Life works better when we work through it's ups and downs with people who care.

WANT TO GO DEEPER IN UNDERSTANDING
THE BIBLE?

Attend a Precept Bible Workshop at Rock Creek this fall and you will gain life-changing knowledge in how to study and understand God's Word.  Click here for class information.

LIFE GROUPS  |  Sign up online today!
You cannot be what God made you to be, you cannot do what God created you to do, and you cannot fulfill the purposes God made you to fulfill without other people.  We were made for each other.  God made us for a family. Life Groups are Rock Creek’s Bible study groups that meet weekly or bi-monthly. There are several groups for you to choose from: couples, men’s, women’s, and single adults. In these groups you’ll get to know each other, pray together and share the Bible together.
Sign up online today or contact Keith Jackson for more information.

FORKS & FRIENDS  |  FAQ
Forks & Friends Groups are Rock Creek’s dinner groups that help you to develop new friendships with the people you see at church. Groups meet once a month for a year.  In addition to eating together at various locations, there are games and fun activities designed to create interaction. Usually a Forks & Friends group consists of 16-18 people.

Money Makeover
Come experience a total money makeover through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.  You'll learn how to get out and stay out of debt, what everybody should know about investments but is never taught, and how to control your money for your joy and peace rather than your money controlling you. Come experience your own Financial Peace with us.  Contact Keith Jackson.

Digital Photography Group
This group was created for photographers within Rock Creek to share and learn more about their equipment and photography opportunities. If you have questions, please contact Marty Allen.

Scrapbooking
This is a great way to get into the hobby of scrapbooking and get together with old friends and make new ones.

K-9 Ambassadors
This group will assist you in training your dog to become a therapy dog. Therapy dogs visit nursing homes, hospitals, and retirement centers to bring enjoyment to people's lives. The classes are taught by a certified dog trainer. For more information, contact Keith Jackson.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Support Groups provide a place of comfort, healing, and hope for those experiencing life’s tragic interruptions. We want to help you successfully walk through this time with God’s help so that perhaps someday you may offer your hand to another.

Rebuilding Life
Divorce is an experience that leaves you feeling broken. Every area of your life is affected. You have feelings you don't understand. You are separated from people you love. Your finances may be shattered. You don't know who you are anymore. Even though God hates divorce, it is important to remember that nothing can separate you from His love. Rebuilding Life is a divorce recovery group that focuses on the grace of God putting your life back together again and leading you toward wholeness. Email Misty Millard for more information.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered recovery program that helps those with hurts, habits, and hang-ups to step out of denial and into God’s grace. Through this program, broken people with all kinds of co-dependencies have been transformed by the power of Christ. They have discovered hope and change they thought was beyond their reach. The group meets every Tuesday, including holidays, at 6pm.

Empty Arms Support Group
A child who loses their parents is called an orphan. A person who loses their spouse is called widowed. But there is no word for a parent who loses a child. Empty Arms offers care and comfort for parents and families dealing with the loss of a child due to still birth. This ministry will help you cope with the pain and re-establish your joy. This group is led by Chad and Nancy Harvison who lost their daughter, Hannah Grace, through stillbirth at 23 weeks. Through that experience of pain and loss, God has shown them that parents and family members need the reassurances of God to help cope and eventually begin the healing process. Chad and Nancy have since been blessed with a son, Joshua Taylor. For information on future meetings of Empty Arms, contact
Chad and Nancy Harvison or call Keith Jackson at 225-8684.

Military Support Group
Many of us have friends, colleagues or family members in military service who are serving overseas, meeting the call of the nation. Our eternal gratitude, thoughts and prayers are with them, and with all the men and women of our armed forces. We pray for their speedy and safe return home. If you are interested in participating in a Military Support Group, please email
westevensma@hotmail.com.

Cancer Support Group
Have you or someone in your family been diagnosed with cancer? Let God show you that you are not alone. Rock Creek patients, survivors, friends and family members are forming a support group for comfort, advice and prayer. This group meets in the RC Care Center from 9am-10am on the fourth Sunday of each month. Email Rock Creek Cancer Support for more information. Future Dates: Sep 28, Oct 26, Nov 23, Dec 21

SaveOne (Post-Abortion Support Group)
SaveOne is a nationally recognized program that teaches women how to be set free from the symptoms of Post-Abortion Syndrome. We have adopted it as our new format for our post-abortion support group for women. Groups meet in the Rock Creek Care Center for six Saturdays. If you are dealing with fear, anger, guilt, and sadness over an abortion, we invite you to join us. It will heal you emotionally and spiritually. It will change your life. For more information, contact Jeanie Shook.
